About the artist

I was born in 1959 in Oslo, Norway, where I currently live with my family, after several years abroad.

Mainly self taught, I have painted all my life, and have worked/studied with various artists in Luxembourg and Singapore.  Among others, Kirsten Mikkelsen, Madeleine Eve, Gregory Burns, Pacita Abad and Mariann Johansen Ellis. I am currently attending Nydalen Kunstfagskole (Art School).

Over the years I have worked in different mediums, from drawing, watercolor, printmaking, oil and acrylic.  At the moment I work mainly with acrylic, adding charcoal, pencil and anything from old watercolor paintings to wallpaper, wrapping and tissue paper.

I enjoy working with lots of colors, and my paintings have layer upon layer of bright acrylics, working mainly abstract.
In my paintings I try to achieve a happy athmosphere where the viewer decides what is happening. I will always focus on the positive sides of life in an attempt to keep a distance to all the negative information we are exposed to on a daily basis.

I have exhibited several times in Singapore and Norway over the past years, and I am very happy that my paintings end up all over the world, from Singapore to the United States, South Africa, Norway, Sweden and other European countries
